Hamster Comics is a local and remote file organization and reading tool. It does not sell, provide, or host comic content. You must have the legal right to import, connect to, and read your content.
Acceptance and eligibility
By downloading, installing, launching, purchasing, or continuing to use Hamster Comics, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms. Minors must review and use the app under the guidance of a parent or guardian and obtain guardian consent before making a purchase. If you do not agree, stop using the app.
Service
The app may provide local import, mounted folders, Wi-Fi transfer, WebDAV, SMB, OPDS, cloud-drive and NAS connections, streaming reading, library organization, multiple page-turning modes, reading statistics, AI image enhancement, and layouts for different devices. Availability is determined by the current app version and purchase page and depends on your device, operating system, files, network, and remote service.
License
Subject to these terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable license to use the app. Except where applicable law expressly permits, you may not bypass technical restrictions, modify or disrupt the app or service, perform unauthorized access, or misrepresent a service as being operated by us.
User content and intellectual property
You may import, connect, read, and process only content you own or are legally authorized to use. You may not use the app to infringe copyright, trademark, privacy, or other rights or to process illegal, harmful, or unauthorized material. Your rights in original files do not transfer to us.
Files, credentials, and backups
You are responsible for protecting and backing up original files, accounts, devices, and remote-service credentials. App removal, system cleanup, device failure, moved files, expired mounts, changed passwords, or unavailable remote services may make files, connections, or reading records unavailable.
Accounts and devices
Linking an email address is optional and can be used to manage activated devices and associate Pro entitlements. Protect verification codes and signed-in devices, and do not sell, rent, or share an account for profit. The active-device limit is the one shown on the current purchase page. Reasonable limits may apply to frequent or abnormal device changes. You can sign out, remove devices, or permanently delete the account through the account entry.
Third-party connections
SMB, WebDAV, OPDS, cloud drives, Calibre-Web, Suwayomi, Kavita, Talebook, Komga, and similar services are independently operated. You must follow their terms and have permission to access them. We do not control their content, speed, security, compatibility, pricing, or continued availability, and naming them does not imply affiliation or endorsement.
Pro and in-app purchases
Pro unlocks advanced features listed on the purchase page while the entitlement remains active. Products may include auto-renewable subscriptions and one-time purchases. Features, price, currency, taxes, trials, billing periods, and offers are governed by the marketplace purchase screen at checkout, and the marketplace charges your account.
Unless canceled under the marketplace’s rules before the current period ends, an auto-renewable subscription will be submitted for renewal by that marketplace. You can cancel through its subscription-management interface and usually retain access until the paid period ends. Restoration, refunds, family sharing, and subscription management follow the marketplace’s rules and applicable local law. Deleting the app or Hamster Comics email account does not cancel a subscription or create a refund.
Prohibited conduct
You may not obtain or bypass paid access through stolen payments, forged transactions, exploited vulnerabilities, modified clients, or other unlawful methods; attack, scan, or disrupt our servers or another person’s device; or use Wi-Fi transfer or remote connections to distribute unlawful content, infringe rights, or conduct unlawful activity.
Changes, interruption, and termination
Features may be updated, replaced, or discontinued to accommodate operating systems, security, law, third-party services, or product development. We will use reasonable efforts to preserve the core value of purchased access and provide notice where law requires. Fraud, abuse, security attacks, or material breach may result in reasonable restrictions on an account, device, or service to the extent permitted by law.
Our intellectual property
Rights in the Hamster Comics app, website, product identity, interface design, documentation, and developer-provided content—excluding third-party software and user-owned content—belong to us or the relevant rights holder. You may not commercially copy, sell, sublicense, or create confusing products from them without permission.
Availability and responsibility
We make reasonable efforts to maintain a secure and stable app but cannot guarantee every file variant, device, operating system, server, and network will work without interruption or error. Effects caused by user actions, missing backups, remote-service failures, marketplace or third-party changes, network interruption, or events beyond reasonable control are borne by the responsible party under applicable law. Nothing in these terms excludes non-waivable consumer rights or liabilities.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of mainland China, without limiting mandatory rights you may have under the law where you live. The parties should first attempt to resolve a dispute in good faith; if that fails, either party may bring a claim before a court with lawful jurisdiction.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms when the product, service, or legal requirements change. Material changes affecting user rights will be presented in the app, on the website, or in release notes. Questions about service, purchases, restoration, accounts, or these terms can be sent to g55917050@gmail.com.
